Observation

2)b)i)ii) There are window blinds in the front living room, kitchen, and bedroom that have pull cords and/or inner cords that are capable of forming a loop and posing a risk of strangulation. 2)c) Loose cords capable of forming a loop around a child's neck and posing a risk of strangulation were noted in the living room near the television (cable, power cords for TV and other electronics), near the electric sofa and air purifier, in the kitchen (USB cords on the kitchen counter), and in the bedroom (power cord to the printer). There is a loose cord on the side of the house near the dog kennel. 2)c) There is a hose hanging loosely, in big loops, on the back of the house where it would be accessible to children in the proposed outdoor play area. It appears capable of forming a loop around a child's neck and posing a risk of strangulation. There is also a piece of cordage hanging with the hose that poses a risk of strangulation and would be accessible to children. 2)e) The applicant states that there is a gun stored in an unlicensed space that is inaccessible to children, but is not in a locked room or locked gun safe as required by WAC regulations. Applicant was not certain if the gun has a trigger lock or other disabling device. 3)a) There is sharp wire all along the edge of the metal mesh on the side of the dog kennel that would be accessible to young children. 3)f) There are 4 metal barstools in the playroom next to the kitchen that pose a risk of falling or tipping. 4)c)i) Exposed light bulbs in the bedroom light fixture and the pendant light fixture in the kitchen above the sink do not appear to be shatter resistant. The glass cover on the pendant light fixture is broken. 4)e) The water temperature in the handwashing sink in the restroom was 123 degrees Fahrenheit, just over the limit of 120 degrees.
